Samson Sabu

Celebration Pastor

Brief info

Pastor Samson Sabu was born and raised in a devout and Kingdom-serving pastoral home in Bangalore, India. From an early age, his focus was on the Kingdom of God. He accepted Jesus and was water-baptized at the age of 12, the youngest age allowed. At just 8 years old, he preached his first sermon during a Sunday School Anniversary, sharing the story of Jesus calling Peter and his friends to be fishers of men. Hosting numerous guest preachers and prophets, many prophesied that Pastor Samson was destined to become a pastor as he grew older. However, witnessing his family's emotional and financial hardships made the idea of becoming a pastor unappealing. He expressed his desire for a corporate career to his parents, vowing to support them financially but not enter full-time ministry.

Everything changed when Pastor Samson experienced a severe motorcycle accident. Rushed to the ICU in critical condition and surrounded by a pool of blood, he spent 8 days in the ICU, where he encountered God and was reminded of his calling to serve Him and His people. In April 2013, Pastor Samson surrendered his life to this calling. He received his pastoral credentials from the South India Assemblies of God and became the Lead Pastor of a Hindi/Kannada church in Bangalore, India. Simultaneously, he worked at Ernst & Young for three years after completing his bachelor's degree in business administration.

In 2021, Pastor Samson moved to Chicago, putting his corporate career on hold to pursue a Master of Divinity degree. Although he had intended to take a break from pastoring to serve as a "Pastor on call" for churches as needed, God had other plans for Pastor Samson. A year later, Pastor Samson was called to serve as the Lead Pastor for the English service at ICAG, Chicago. He believes he was planted here "to serve the people of Chicago for this season".

Grateful for the beautiful paths God has led him down, Pastor Samson enjoys working with individuals of all ages. His goals are to broaden the horizon and take the church beyond just the four walls, and to reach the unreached by LIVING the sermons rather than merely preaching them.
